Cheeky
One of Evan with the lights he loves so much. The setup was as follows…
- A brilliant white sheet suspended from a curtain rail with A-clips (I kid you not!)
- Bare strobe to left and behind Evan (about 1m) on 3/4 power (Elinchrom D4lite)
- Elinchrom d4lite in Softbox to Evan’s right on 1/4 power (about 1m in front of him, pointing down at 45 degrees and 1.5m high)
Post processing involved
- Lens correction in Lightroom
- Sharpening of eyes, nose tip and lips in Photoshop
- With the eyes, nose, lips protected, a very slight gaussian blur applied to the image in Photoshop
- Back in Lightroom, reduced brightness, increased contrast, dropped saturation and increased vibrance (all to taste!)

funny you were to title this “cheeky”. it’s a soft and beautifully lit portrait of a small boy in awe. very nice, steef!
